In short
This site sets no cookies. It keeps a few small items in your browser's local storage, and what it records depends on the choice you make in the cookie banner. No advertising or third-party analytics scripts are loaded: what is measured goes only to the server that runs this site.
The banner offers two choices, Necessary only and Accept all, described below. Saving your preferences with Analytics switched off is the same as Necessary only; with Analytics switched on it is the same as Accept all.
Before you choose
While you have made no choice, each page load sends one anonymous page view: the page address and title, the path of the page you came from on this site, and a broad class of how you arrived (direct, search, another site, or an advertisement). It carries no identifier and nothing is stored in your browser, so it cannot be linked to you or to your other page views.
Necessary only
With this choice the site stores a visitor identifier and a session identifier in your browser, and records:
- your visits and the pages you view;
- how far you scroll, which sections of a page you view and for how long;
- the campaign details in the address you arrived from, if there were any.
This is used to run the chat and to understand, in general, which pages are read. It can also lead the chat to open with something relevant to what you are reading.
Accept all
Everything in Necessary only, plus the elements you click and the movement of your cursor on the page. These are used to build heatmaps that show which parts of a page draw attention.
Recording nothing
The measurement system also has a level at which nothing is recorded and any identifiers are removed from your browser. The banner on this site does not set it. If you want nothing recorded beyond the anonymous page view above, make no choice in the banner, or clear this site's data in your browser and write to vlad.costea@sigtree.io to have what was recorded deleted.
The chat
The chat works whichever choice you make, including before you make one. If you open it before choosing, the site stores a chat identifier so the conversation can continue while you move between pages. If you resize the chat window, its size is remembered.

Items in local storage stay until you clear your browser's site data.
Changing your choice
Use Cookie settings, also at the bottom of every page, to open the banner again and make a different choice. Accept all applies straight away; a change from Accept all to Necessary only takes full effect from the next page you open.
